Thanksgiving meals for the homeless in Detroit

This Thanksgiving I volunteered at a local Detroit Church in feeding the homeless. Together we feed over 200 homeless all over Detroit. It was amazing to see how many people from all over Michigan came out to help. I decided to volunteer with this church because they were taking food to the people on the streets. The homeless didn't have to make their way to a church or an organization.  Sometimes churches or organizations that feed/shelter the homeless during the holidays run out of food and close early. Bringing hot plates of food to those on the streets who are in need really appreciated it. Most of the homeless that I gave food to were shocked and surprised that there were people out on the streets going to them to help. Fox news did a story about the church earlier this week.
