First of all Welcome!

We left Pula and are headed to Vodice. On our drive we went through 17 tunnels! The longest tunnel was 5681 meters! Of course the sun is setting as we arrive into the center of Vodice. As we drive in there is a sign with my name on it. It was for Hotel Kristina. I booked a hotel online called Mery S. Gallery, which was in a city next to Vodice, called Srima. Again the street signs are difficult, not like Pula, but still difficult. So I parked and called the hotel. It was the most refreshing experience. I said to the lady that answered the phone, "Hello, I made reservations and I can't find where your at, can you give me directions." She said in a thick Croatian accent,"First of all Welcome, where are you at now?" I said "the post office in the center of town" Again in that accent that I love "perfect, I will send my sister to pick you up." Really I thought. As Mary and I waited for the sister of the unknown thick accented Croatian lady, we were stunned on how beautiful Vodice is. It is this little port town that was full of seafood restaurants! Maria arrived, the sister of the unknown voice. She is this petite blond Croatian beauty that escorts us to our hotel. We follow her through dirt roads that winds and curves. Which is a family house that is right by the sea! The apartment is super charming! They are in the processes of establishing this place and getting it ready for tourist season. As she shows us the place she sounds so grateful for our arrival. She asks if we want a bottle of wine, it is made by her father and she says it is really good. When she returns with the wine she also has a bottle of mineral water. She said to drink with the wine. Sometimes I do this if the wine is too strong, it is normal in Italy. This wine was strong, even after cutting it. After a couple of glasses, Mary and I hit the town. I took my tripod and we were off. It was nice and quite at night. Here are the pics of last night. We are about to head off now to see it in the day light and have fun. Check out our cools robes and the fancy artwork of our room!
